Tennessee Titans

*The rumor in Tennessee is that LenDale White may start either this week or next for the rest of the season.  Chris Brown and Travis Henry aren't getting it done, but to be fair it's not entirely their fault.

*Travis Henry has been able to practice and should play this weekend against the Dolphins.

*Look for Vince Young's playing time to increase quicker than Jeff Fisher would have liked.  But this team is clearly going no where, so why not give him the experience.

*Travis Henry has been unable to practice due to turf toe.  LenDale White will most likely be activated to take his place.

*Both Chris Brown and Travis Henry suffered turf toe injuries against the Jets on Sunday.  Chris Brown traditionally misses several games a year.  Travis Henry played almost a full season with broken ribs.  Our money is on Henry to have a better reaction to the injury.

*Look for Vince Young's playing time to gradually increase as the season slips away.  By week 5, he may be playing an entire quarter.  I liked what Buddy Ryan did with Randall Cunningham.  He came in on 3rd downs.  Kerry Collins will remain the starter for now.

*Erron Kinney will be unavailable for week 1 against the Jets.  Ben Troupe becomes a nice value.

*Jeff Fisher will not reveal who the starting quarterback will be for week 1.  As much talk as there has been about Kerry Collins starting, I still believe that unless he is traded, Billy Volek gets the start.  Unless something really screwy is going on in the locker room that we are not aware of.  Stay CLEAR of this situation unless you are drafting Young in a dynasty league.

*What a mess at quarterback.  Billy Volek has been demoted pending the outcome of tonight's game against Green Bay.  Unless Kerry Collins really stinks up the joint, Collins will be the starter week 1, leaving Volek at #3 behind rookie Vince Young.  Volek has demanded a trade after believing that the starting job was his.  stay very clear of this situation except in Dynasty leagues where Young is a nice option for the future.

*We were right to be skeptical about the CBS Sportsline announcement of Travis Henry as the starter.  For the thousands of people who drafted last night who took Henry on this misinformation, might I recommend a class action suit?  In keeping with Sportsline's tradition of quality Fantasy Football coverage, we're announcing that my friend Dave will be the starting running back this year.  And my wife will be the quarterback.  Way to go, Sportsline.

*ok, this is one we didn't see coming.  According to CBS Sportsline,  Travis Henry has been named the starter for week one based on hard work in training camp. As far as we know this is just conjecture.  I wouldn't make any moves on the draft board until I see confirmation from a better source.  No offence, CBS.

*Don't be surprised if the Titans are still looking to make a deal with one of their running backs.  Chris Brown's agent has called for a trade, but it might be Travis Henry that goes to Miami.

*Rookie QB Vince Young bruised his throwing hand on a helmet in practice.  Jeff Fisher says he'll be ok.

*Both LenDale White and Travis Henry will line up with the first team so that their abilities can be evaluated.  I don't believe for a minute that Henry will become the starter unless injury dictates.  I have to think that he may be showcased for trade possibilities, though.

*White allegedly spit in the face of teammate Donnie Nickey during a scuffle at practice.  This did not sit well with other Titans.  Fisher claims to have addressed the issue and it will not happen again.  Bad signs for White to win over the team.  White has been suspended for the 1st preseason game against the Saints.

*Rumors are that LenDale White has not been impressing coaches enough to allow Chris Brown to move on, despite Brown's agent's demand that Brown be traded because of the crowded backfield.  Unless white steps things up, Brown is not going to Miami or NY.

*Vince Young has been taking snaps with the first team.  No surprise since he is expected to take the reigns at some point later on this season (after the Titans are out of the playoff race)

*So far LenDale White has missed time with soreness and now a toe injury.  He's going to have a tough time becoming the starter if he is always hurt.

*Jeff Fisher announced that Chris Brown is his starter at running back.  He claims that the trade demands made by Brown are due to his new agent trying to get a contract exe

*Rumor is that Travis Henry will be featured in training camp and preseason, then possibly dealt.  The Rams are among the teams looking for an experienced back.  The Dolphins and Browns may look as well.

*Chris Brown has reportedly added 10 lbs. of muscle in the off season to try to stay a little healthier.  The problem is that his injuries tend to be knee, ankle and foot related.

*An interesting note - David Givens in an interview states that he considers himself the #1 receiver on the team, but is willing to share the ball.  I wonder how Drew Bennett feels about that?  Volek to Bennett was potent 2 years ago.

*Tennessee RB Coach Sherman Smith says that Chris Brown is currently the best back on the roster and will see the most playing time.  But a lot can change in preseason.

*LenDale White has been able to work out with the Titans for the first time.  He's been struggling with a torn hamstring since January.

*Tyrone Calico suffered a calf strain in practice on June 15.

*Jeff Fisher has been talking a lot about turning this into a running team.  Whether or not they carry 3 backs is still in question, but with a rookie quarterback likely to start more than 1/2 the games, it only makes sense to have a strong run option.

*No question Vince Young will take over at some point.  Billy Volek starts the season, but no question Tennessee does not have high expectations for this season, so why not get the rookie out there?  Our guess is by week 5 Young will start. 

*LenDale White is still suffering the effects of a torn hamstring and is only able to do limited work.  Chris Brown may be traded.
