*More bad news for Steven Jackson.  Center Andy McCollum will miss the rest of the 2006 season with torn ligaments in his knee.  You know how important we think centers are to the offense, particularly the running game. 

*The report from St. Louis is that Stephen Davis looks to be in good shape and is ready to contribute.  Considering how good he is at the goal line, Steven Jackson owners should be a little concerned.  Slide Jackson down a peg on your board and add Davis since he was probably not on the radar previously.

*Torry Holt's chest MRI revealed only a bruised sternum.  He will not miss any significant time.

*Isaac Bruce seems to be having trouble with his hamstring and sat down as a precaution.  Keep an eye on this because if Bruce is going to miss significant time, Kevin Curtis will no doubt benefit.

*Stephen Davis has been offered a contract.  We worry about Steven Jackson's heel.  It may also be an indication that the Rams are not happy with the backups.  If healthy, Jackson doesn't stand to lose a lot of carries to Davis.

*The Rams brought in Stephen Davis to work out.  Bad sign for Steven Jackson if the Rams are desperate enough to sign Davis.

*Steven Jackson missed practice with tendonitis in his heel.  Previously he missed time with a strained Achilles heel.  I'm not ready to panic, but this is something to consider.  Watch to see if there are any reports coming out of St. Louis about Jackson needing to miss playing time.

*Torry Holt has a bruised sternum.  The injury is not considered serious and should not miss any significant time.  Holt is still a top 5 receiver, although other sites have him ranked higher than we do.

*Steven Jackson is suffering from a mild Achilles Tendon strain and is said to be day to day.  Not a big deal, but if it's worse than 1st thought it could have a devastating effect considering the backup situation.  He's supposed to be ale to go on Thursday.

*Tony Fisher seems to have the #2 RB spot locked up, with Moe Williams around for insurance and veteran locker room leadership.

*Have you heard the 25 carries per game talk regarding Steven jackson.  You can stop asking why we have him ranked so highly.  He will see the ball a lot this season.

*Word now is that Faulk will be done (we told you this before) and that the Rams are looking to bring in Michael Bennett from New Orleans.  Bennett is expendable because the Texans failed to draft correctly.

*Don't look for much from Marshall Faulk this year.  He will not be used to split time from Steven Jackson, only as a backup and unofficial player-coach.
