New York Giants

*Tight end Jeremy Shockey claimed the Giants were out coached by Mike Holmgren and the Seahawks coaching staff.  In fact, the mood in NY is not very good right now and Coughlin is in danger of losing the team.

*Jeremy Shockey may not be able to play against the Seahawks due to a sprained ankle.  If he cannot play, it make Amani Toomer more valuable (see last Sunday, 2nd half) because he gets the looks that Shockey would have gotten.  Tiki Barber is a little banged up with a deep bruise, but should start as usual.

*Expect more of the same from Brandon Jacobs this season.  If Barber is healthy and plays all year, Jacobs will still see 8-10 carries, 50 yards and possibly a TD just about every week.  That kind of production won't win a league for you, but he's a nice addition to your bench, at least.  And if Tiki goes down, you might see Larry Johnson type production as he looks unstoppable inside the 5.

*Don't say we didn't warn you.  Brandon Jacobs is calling to get the ball more often and we think he will get it.  Don't forget he was drafted to take goal line work and in the preseason he looks very good doing it.  No question Barber's numbers will suffer, at least touchdown wise.  Jacobs could be a great guy to stash away, especially in TD leagues.  This year's Stephen Davis?

*The offensive line looks to be in tune.  Tiki Barber and Brandon Jacobs have looked strong in camp.  And don't forget about Amani Toomer who seems to be the recipient of a lot of single coverage and is the target who stayed in NY to work out with Manning rather than work out in Miami.

*Shockey has returned to practice after his concussion the other day.  However health problems have dogged Shockey throughout his career, so watch carefully to see if he has any lingering effects or possibly suffers another concussion.

*Plaxico Burress had to sit out with an ankle sprain.  It was reported initially to be mild, but had significant swelling overnight.  The Giants are going to take it slowly.  This looks like a great opportunity for Moss to get reps.

*Jeremy Shockey suffered a mild concussion which should not have long lasting effects.  He should still be one of the top 3 tight ends off the board in your drafts.

*The Giants signed 2nd round draft pick Sinorice Moss.  While I'm usually not big on small receivers drafted in the second round, pay attention to this guy.  Burress and Toomer are similar in style, size and speed.  Moss brings a speed dimension that might put him on the field a lot.  Drafting this guy might get you laughed at, but he also might be a nice sleeper in bigger leagues.  He's definitely someone to put on your radar now for early waivers.

*Nice article on how the Giants defense is stacked this year:  http://www.nypost.com/sports/giants/giants_defense_loaded_with_weapons_giants_paul_schwartz.htm
