Buffalo Bills
*JP Losman has officially been named the starter in Buffalo for now. Yawn.
*Willis McGahee entered the Clinton Portis look-alike contest by sustaining an injury to a shoulder. Actually it happened in practice. Though McGahee was able to finish practice, he received serious attention afterward and left with his shoulder wrapped. No word on the extent of the injury, but we hoping it's not bad since he was able to finish practice.
*Looks like Losman has #1 quarterback wrapped up. I still wouldn't want him starting on my fantasy team.
*Reports from Orchard Park are that McGahee looks to be in midseason form and should make people forget what happened last season. I'm slightly skeptical because although I agree he is very talented, defenses will not be bunching up to stop the pass if you know what I mean. Look for a good but not necessarily great season from McGahee. We see him as a second back except in bigger leagues of 12 or more.
*According to BuffaloBills.com, Willis McGahee disappeared in the red zone last year, and that's not a mistake that they're going to make again this year. True - it does not make sense that your best player is on the bench during the money time. McGahee should absolutely do better than he did last year.
*Ron jaworski is reporting that JP Losman is going to be the starter in Buffalo. I don't know if I believe this yet. And if your hanging on this decision, you probably shouldn't be in fantasy football. Or you're WAY too involved. Craig Nall is said to look the best, right now, but camp hasn't even opened yet.
*As minicamps are ending, there is still no definitive #1 quarterback. We think Holcombe is the most talented, but he may not win the job as the team has a lot invested in JP Losman.
*Looks like Lionel Gates is winning the #2 running back job in Buffalo. Something good to know just in case. McGahee is said to be lighter and stronger heading into camp.
